04/ monolog, konzert für violoncello und computer
for communication with others and with the outer world each person has selection mechanisms that intervene in the structure of information by comprehending and selecting parts that can be recombined in other contexts. communication uses different interfaces, points of contact with others and exchange with the outer world, that are more and more enlarged by technical means today.
this is the fundamental basis of my composition, and the structure is conceived accordingly: the listener does not hear the same as the musician and the computer. the ties are broken. the system developed for the computer has selection mechanisms that allow sound sources to be selected and recorded sounds to be filed and saved. this system allows a special way of communication and simultaneously the shaping of the result of this communication, the music.
